Cocodiethanolamide, also known as Coco DEA or CDEA, is a nonionic surfactant. It is a transparent and slightly yellowish liquid in form. It is used in both personal care and household, industrial and institutional cleaning applications. Most commonly, Cocodiethanolamide is used as thickening and foam boosting agent. Because of this, it is an ideal ingredient in formulations of shampoos, bubble baths, cosmetics and industrial cleaners. Cocodiethanolamide reduces the quantity of sodium chloride required in anionic formulations allowing for more stable products. The percent active part is 90%.
