Cocamidopropyl Betaine is an amphoteric surfactant. It is a transparent and slightly yellowish liquid in form. It is used in both personal care and household, industrial and institutional cleaning applications. On the personal care front, Cocamidopropyl Betaine is often used in shampoos, body washes, bubble baths and liquid hand soaps. On the cleaning front, it is often used in liquid detergents such as dishwashing liquids. It can be used as a primary or secondary surfactant as it is completely compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic surfactants. Cocamidopropyl Betaine increases the viscosity and detergency of a finished product and serves as a foam booster while providing softness to the skin. The percent active part is 30%.
