Methyl Salicylate, also known as Wintergreen Oil, is an organic compound that is a colorless liquid in form with an odor of wintergreen. Methyl Salicylate is often food grade and used as a flavoring agent in chewing gums, mints and other food products. In other applications, Methyl Salicylate may be found in topical ointments that treat joint and muscular pain.
