Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonic Acid 96%, also known as LABSA 96% or DDBSA 96%, is an anionic surfactant. It is a liquid that is honey brown in color. LABSA 96% is one of the largest volume synthetic surfactants produced in the world and is a true work-horse surfactant. It is a nonvolatile compound that is produced by sulfonation. LABSA is widely used for producing various detergents and emulsifiers found in home care and industrial and institutional cleaning applications. The anionic active part is a minimum of 96.5%.
