Methyl Salicylate , also known as Wintergreen Oil, is an organic compound that is colorless liquid in form with an odor of wintergreen. Methyl Salicylate (excipient only) is often used as a flavoring agent in chewing gums, mints, and other food products. Methyl Salicylate may also be used as an aroma chemical to create the scent of wintergreen in a given product formulation.
